As the heat picks up in Celebrity MasterChef, Week 6 presented contestant Tejasswi Prakash with a tough challenge. On a recent show, Tejasswi was challenged to make a dish from flowers after getting a mystery box containing gorgeous flowers and cacti. The actress chose to make Kalakand with rose, jasmine gel, passion fruit reduction, and hazelnut fennel crumble.
A Gorgeous Presentation but a Failing Taste
Tejasswi’s dish was lauded for its stunning presentation, with judges praising the visual appeal. However, when it came to the taste, the dish failed to impress. Judges Ranveer Brar and Vikas Khanna criticized it for being dry and lacking in flavor. Farah Khan was even more blunt, stating that she didn’t like anything about the dish. This harsh feedback left Tejasswi visibly disheartened. Ranveer suggested that adding a cream-based sauce would have helped bind the dish together and enhance the flavor. Unfortunately, Tejasswi’s decision to experiment with a daring dish instead of playing it safe may cost her a spot in the competition.

Support from Fans Amidst Setback
In spite of the failure, Tejasswi has been getting an overwhelming response from her supporters. The social media websites have been filled with motivating messages, with the supporters asking her to continue believing in herself. A supporter stated, “Teju presented wonderfully, and Chef Vikas really loved it. But the dish became slightly bitter. Teju, tomorrow you will return stronger.”
The Road to the Finale
Tejasswi, along with Gaurav Khanna, Rajiv Adatia, Faisal Shaikh, and Nikki Tamboli, is in the running to the Celebrity MasterChef finale. As the race gets tougher, it’s quite evident that Tejasswi will have to come back tougher in the tasks ahead to place herself in the final.
