Model and actress Shefali Jariwala, who became famous for her memorable Kaanta Laga music video, has died suddenly at 42 years old. Her sudden death has shocked the industry and her fans. A touching coincidence was that it turned out she had posted what would be her last X (formerly Twitter) post, a tribute to deceased actor and Bigg Boss 13 champion Sidharth Shukla.
Emotional Goodbye to an Ex-Partner
Sidharth Shukla, who died in 2021 at the age of 40 from cardiac arrest, had a history with Shefali. On Sidharth’s death anniversary in September 2024, Shefali shared a heart-wrenching throwback picture of the two hugging during their stay on Bigg Boss 13, captioning, “Thinking of you today mere dost @sidharth_shukla.” The post has been dug up and gone viral, only spreading the sorrow around her own death.
In an earlier interview with BollywoodLife, Shefali shared their experience, “We bonded, fought, and eventually mended. We had much in common—traveling, space, bullet trains. Even after we broke up, we remained polite.”

Tragic End and Unanswered Questions
Shefali is said to have suffered a cardiac arrest at her home in Andheri late on Thursday night. She was taken to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital, where she was pronounced dead upon arrival, by her actor husband Parag Tyagi and three others. Emotional scenes were witnessed as a heart-broken Parag was seen outside the hospital. Her body has been sent for post-mortem, which is due shortly.
