Television actor Ankit Gupta has finally put an end to the heavy online buzz and rumors about his private life. A low-key person, Ankit decided to break his silence after a recent video ignited the buzz. The video, in which he was seen stepping out of a Mumbai eatery, had a girl in the background—giving rise to speculations and gossip about him being with the mystery girl, particularly amidst rumored breakup news with actress Priyanka Chahar Choudhary.
Clarifying the Rumours
In a strongly worded statement on Instagram, Ankit made it clear that he does not know the woman and finds the speculation troubling and absurd. “There comes a point where silence starts to feel like consent — and I’m no longer okay with that,” he wrote. He slammed the growing trend of fans and gossip pages spreading baseless assumptions, sharing that such behaviour is disrespectful and violates personal boundaries.
A Stand for Privacy and Dignity
Ankit stressed that though he is public, his private life isn’t public domain. “What I do decide to share, I do it with intent. But what I will not tolerate is this emerging tradition of fabricating tales, associating me with random people, or trading my name and face to get views,” he said.

The actor cautioned that any attempt to propagate false or defamatory information about him thereafter will be met with legal recourse, in the form of defamation lawsuits. He called upon fans and media to exercise caution before publishing or sharing unsubstantiated information.
