The makers of Jana Nayagan, starring Thalapathy Vijay, have officially announced that the highly awaited “First Roar” teaser will release at midnight on June 22, perfectly timed with the actor’s birthday. This marks one of the earliest promotional updates for the film and is especially significant as Jana Nayagan is Vijay’s farewell to cinema before he shifts his focus to a full-time political career. The film’s shoot recently wrapped, making this midnight reveal a much-anticipated moment for fans.

Announcing the news on X (formerly Twitter), production house KVN Productions shared, “A lion is always a lion and his first roar is incoming June 22 | 12.00 AM #JanaNayaganTheFirstRoar #JanaNayagan”. The announcement was accompanied by a powerful poster showcasing Vijay’s silhouette, which quickly went viral. Fans flooded the comments with messages of support, excitement, and emotion, with many calling it “One last time.”

A Grand Farewell Before Politics
Directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, Jana Nayagan is set for a global theatrical release on January 9, 2026 just in time for Pongal and Makar Sankranti. Marketed as a cinematic tribute to Vijay’s iconic career, the film is expected to be both a commercial and emotional blockbuster.
