The first glimpse of Nikkhil Advani’s much-anticipated web series ‘The Revolutionaries’ has finally been revealed, and it promises an intense, action-packed period drama inspired by the lives of India’s lesser-known freedom fighters. The series features an exciting ensemble cast including Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta, Gurfateh Pirzada, and Jason Shah in pivotal roles.
Revolutionaries Rise Against British Rule
The 56-second trailer, posted by Nikkhil Advani on Monday on Instagram, gives a moving glimpse of India’s colonial history. Against the backdrop of British colonial rule, the cast is introduced incognito in different guises, ready to raise arms against their colonial masters. The quote, in Hindi, reads: “Give me a hundred youth fiery, fearless, and pure and I shall shake the world.” The teaser concludes with the announcement: “Coming in 2026.”

Inspired by Sanjeev Sanyal’s Book
The series is based on Sanjeev Sanyal’s book, Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom. Nikkhil Advani made a statement regarding his enthusiasm, referring to the project as “deeply enriching and enlightening.” He gave credit to Sanyal’s book for setting the foundation to explore such “untold stories of extraordinary young patriots.”
Advani also mentioned the partnership with Prime Video and complimented the hardworking cast and crew: “We are determined to create a story that is real and meaningful for viewers everywhere.”
Now being shot on location in Mumbai, Amritsar, Varanasi, and Dehradun, the show is being made by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani under the Emmay banner. The Revolutionaries will be out on Prime Video in 2026, with a promising mix of history, bravery, and youth rebellion.
