Netflix has released the much-awaited trailer of Nadaaniyan, a romantic drama that sees Ibrahim Ali Khan making his Bollywood debut with Khushi Kapoor. Directed by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment, the movie is set to be a fresh take on contemporary love, replete with drama, conundrums, and surprise emotions.

A Heartfelt Story of Love and Misunderstanding

At the center of Nadaaniyan is Pia Jai Singh (Khushi Kapoor), a socialite from South Delhi who thinks that love must have a perfect script. Her reality is shaken when she encounters Arjun Mehta (Ibrahim Ali Khan), a hardworking, middle-class overachiever with dreams of becoming his school debate team captain. When Pia persuades Arjun to fake being her boyfriend in an orchestrated romantic set-up, they think they are in control. But things quickly go awry as genuine feelings start muddling the difference between make-believe and real life. What began as an easy setup then becomes a maelstrom of emotions as the two characters struggle to determine if love can ever be orchestrated.

Gautam, whose film she calls a very personal one, captures the innocence and shocks of first love. “Nadaaniyan has been a very special experience for me, especially since it is my first film,” said Gautam. Besides the impressive supporting cast of Mahima Chaudhary, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj, each bringing depth and warmth to the narrative.

Nadaaniyan streams solely on Netflix from March 7, and brings a combination of romance, drama, and youthfulness to the platform.
