Kuberaa is a film with a star cast of Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh has become a blockbuster at the box office. The film, released on the 20th of June and directed by Shekhar Kammula, has been unanimously praised by both critics and viewers. It started with a bang and was able to collect ₹14.75 crore nett in India on Day 1 and is currently on the verge of reaching ₹70 crore in just six days.
Strong Box Office Performance
The social media page, Sacnilk, stated that Kuberaa had earned ₹4.03 crore on Wednesday, bringing its domestic total to ₹65.28 crore. The film is exhibiting sustained growth in various regions and languages, thus being on its way to opening a commercial success. Even though Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par is providing a tough competition for Kuberaa, the latter is still doing well, especially in the South Indian markets.

A Compelling Story of Transformation
The story of the film revolves around a character named Deva, (played by Dhanush) who is a beggar and whose life takes a drastic change when he lands into a world of wealth, power, and moral dilemmas. It kisses the theme of ambition’s wrong side and the malaise of ethics which ultimately leads to the downfall of characters. Nagarjuna portrays a CBI officer, Deepak, while Rashmika appears as Sameera and Jim Sarbh is the corrupt CEO, Neeraj.
Celebrating Success with Industry Icons
In order to commemorate the film’s success, the makers have organized a big party recently where the cast and crew were present and megastar Chiranjeevi was the chief guest. At the event, Dhanush applauded Shekhar Kammula for showing that content-driven cinema is still able to attract audiences. He said: “There is this notion that only action spectacles thrive in theatres. Kuberaa breaks that myth.”

What’s Next for Dhanush
After that, Dhanush is gonna star in Idly Kadai with Arjun Vijay, Nithya Menen and Sathyaraj, which will be out in October. He has also planned a comeback with Aanand L Rai in the romance Tere Ishk Mein.
