Aamir Khan’s new release, Sitaare Zameen Par, is going strong at the box office in its second week. The sentimental sports drama has won hearts, steadily drawing people to cinema halls despite no OTT release.
Decent First Week with Rs 94.95 Crore
Sacnilk informs that the movie raked Rs 94.95 crore during its first week. In its eighth day, which was Friday, the film collected Rs 6.05 crore, sustaining its initial momentum. Having already registered Rs 88.9 crore in its first week, the film is predicted to easily breach the Rs 100 crore milestone at the conclusion of its second weekend. Sitaare Zameen Par has thus also crossed the lifetime domestic collection of Kesari 2, which raked in Rs 92.53 crore.
A Spiritual Sequel with a New Path
Though the title honors Aamir Khan’s 2007 all-time favorite Taare Zameen Par, this new movie follows an alternate emotional path. Sitaare Zameen Par is a sports comedy-drama about Gulshan (played by Aamir Khan), a former basketball coach who is ordered to train neurodivergent kids as a form of court-ordered community service after a DUI conviction.

New Faces and Veteran Talent
The movie is the Hindi film debut of a number of newcomers such as Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, and Vedant Sharma. It also stars veteran actors like Dolly Ahluwalia, Brijendra Kala, Gurpal Singh, and Ankita Sehgal. Sunita, Gulshan’s encouraging wife who aids him in coping with his transformation, is played by Genelia Deshmukh.
Directed by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, Sitaare Zameen Par provides a touching storyline on redemption, acceptance, and the strength of second chances. Assuming its present pace continues, it has the potential to become one of the year’s biggest box office hits.
