After almost three years, BLACKPINK is back officially with their energetic digital single ‘Jump’, released on Friday. The song premiered at the group’s Deadline Tour in South Korea, which was a powerful new beginning in the K-pop supergroup’s career.
A Sonic Shift With Global Influence
Unlike their earlier pop-infused chart-toppers, ‘Jump’ makes a sudden switch to hardstyle direction, featuring intense beats, thumping basslines, and adrenaline-pumping drops. Made by Diplo, 24, and Boaz Van De Beatz, and penned by a powerhouse international team of TEDDY, Zikai, Claudia Valentina, and Jesse Bluu, the song ventures into a sound that’s experimental yet club-ready.
Every member Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa adds their own flavor to the track, with highlight vocal moments and scorching rap verses. Though each of their tones rings through, the single still has the unmissable BLACKPINK swagger and camaraderie fans adore.

New Music, New Era
‘Jump’ is a come-back single rather than a declaration of a new era for BLACKPINK. The members were engaged in solo projects during their hiatus: Jennie and Lisa ventured into acting with roles in The Idol and The White Lotus Season 3, Rosé furthered her solo music career, and Jisoo diversified her acting and brand businesses.
