Netflix has officially released the trailer for Wednesday Season 2, Part 1, and things at Nevermore Academy have taken a much darker turn. Jenna Ortega returns as Wednesday Addams in a season filled with twisted secrets, evolving powers, and emotional chaos.
Enid’s Life Hangs in the Balance
A shocking moment in the trailer shows Wednesday having a terrifying vision of her roommate and best friend Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) dying. Even more disturbing, Wednesday believes she’s responsible. “Enid dies, and it’s all my fault,” she whispers, hinting at a season where guilt, fate, and friendship collide. Her psychic episodes are becoming increasingly erratic, and saving Enid becomes her top priority before it’s too late.
The Mystery of the Black Tears
One of the most haunting visuals from the trailer is the reappearance of Wednesday’s black tears—an eerie side effect of using her Raven powers. As seen during Netflix Tudum 2025, she has spent the summer practicing magic from Goody Addams’ Book of Spells. But with each use, her powers become more unstable. Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones) warns, “I know what those tears mean.” Co-creator Alfred Gough adds that Wednesday’s overconfidence in her visions may lead to dangerous consequences.
Nevermore’s Nightmare: Wednesday Gains Fans
After saving Nevermore from Hyde, Wednesday finds herself unexpectedly popular something she detests. “It’s a living hell,” Ortega says. Among her new followers is Agnes DeMille (Evie Templeton), a creepy admirer who mimics Wednesday’s style and obsession with the macabre.
Family Drama and Familiar Faces
Season 2 explores Wednesday’s complicated relationship with her mother Morticia, and now that Pugsley is a student at Nevermore, the Addams family is more involved than ever. Gomez and Morticia’s increased presence on campus only adds to Wednesday’s emotional turmoil.
