Gossip about Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja’s marriage has cropped up once again, generating rumors of a possible split and even divorce. The two have been married since 1987 and have always been in the limelight, with rumors about their private lives occasionally hitting the headlines. Sunita, however, has now corrected the rumors herself.
Sunita Responds to Speculations
The recent round of speculations started when Sunita modified the spelling of her name to “Ssunita” on Instagram and dropped the surname “Ahuja” from her bio. It sparked fresh gossip regarding a probable split. But in a recent interview, Sunita rebuffed these rumors strongly.
She stated, “I am Ahuja and will always be. This surname will be left only when I leave this world.”

Name Change Due to Numerology
Clarifying her recent name modification, Sunita said it was solely for numerological purposes. “I haven’t dropped the ‘Ahuja’ from the name, but included an extra ‘S’. I desire name and fame, and who doesn’t desire the same these days?” she replied, rejecting any linkage of her social networking site modification with marital problems.
“We Are a Happy Family”
Sunita reaffirmed that her bond with Govinda is still intact. “We are a happy family. Don’t believe such things until we say it,” she said, requesting fans and media not to jump to conclusions without verification.
