On the fifth anniversary of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, his sister Shweta Singh Kirti posted a touching tribute on Instagram. In a poignant video, Shweta told people how much she misses her brother and talked about the ideals that he stood for. She pointed out that Sushant lives on in people’s hearts and asked people not to indulge in negativism in his name.

Sushant’s Legacy Lives On

In her video caption, Shweta reminisced about the days since Sushant died on June 14, 2020. She reported that the CBI had filed its report to the court and the family is waiting to get it back. In spite of the doubts, Shweta asked everyone to keep their hopes high and believe.

“Don’t lose heart and don’t lose faith in God or in goodness,” she said in her writing. Emphasizing her brother’s virtues, she stated Sushant represented purity, love for learning, love, equality, and charity. His smile and innocence like a child, she said, could melt any heart.

A Call to Honor His Memory

Shweta requested fans to continue Sushant’s legacy by fostering kindness, learning, and love. “He is in you, in me, in all of us,” she went on to say, asking fans never to abuse his name for evil. “He didn’t stand for that.”

She posted a few throwback pictures too, some heart-warming moments with their father and a selfie with Sushant.

Seeking Justice

Since Sushant’s death, Shweta has been vocal in calling for justice. In March 2024, she appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling for an intervention in the CBI inquiry. She stated his intervention would accelerate the process and provide solace to hurting hearts.
