Fans of romantic dramas have something to look forward to as the trailer of Dhadak 2 starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri will be released on Friday, July 11. The announcement was made by producer Karan Johar, who shared a romantic new poster of the film on his Instagram.
Karan Johar Shares First Look
Karan captioned the post, “Do ❤️. Ek dhadak. #Dhadak2 trailer out this Friday,” unveiling a striking poster that features Siddhant and Triptii holding each other closely. The tagline on the poster reads, “When surrender means death… fight!” giving fans a hint of the intense and emotional story that lies ahead.
Directed by Shazia Iqbal and produced under Dharma Productions, Dhadak 2 is a spiritual sequel to the 2018 film Dhadak, which launched the careers of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter. That film was a remake of the Marathi blockbuster Sairat.

A Bold and Powerful Story
Former Dhadak director Shashank Khaitan has expressed his excitement for the sequel. Speaking to News18 Showsha, he said, “I’m extremely happy. I’m sure it’s going to be a very powerful story. It was a bold reveal, and I’m excited about the young actors telling socially relevant stories.”

Siddhant Explores New Territory
Siddhant Chaturvedi also opened up about his role in Dhadak 2, saying, “This is my first time exploring such a genre. Though I’m often cast in urban roles, I’m originally from Ballia, UP, so this film feels personal.” He praised co-star Triptii Dimri and hinted that the trailer would speak for itself.
Release Date
Dhadak 2 is slated to hit theatres on August 1, 2025.
