With all the hype and hoopla around Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s comeback film JAZBAA, the expectations were really high. The way the pretty actress was being promoted to essay a tough avatar and mouth some hard-hitting lines in JAZBAA; it quite made us curious to check out how Aishwarya’s (image) makeover would be. However, now that JAZBAA trailer has released, we feel Aishwarya’s dialogue delivery is not up to snuff!
Of course, the beautiful actress (being her comeback venture) strives enough to give a spirited performance and maintains an intense tempo throughout. But despite mouthing some crisp lines like,
‘Waise Tumhara Kaunsa Mai Baap Hai Jo Tumhe Chudaane Itna Betaab Hai’,
‘Aap Ke Kaanoon Ke Lambe Haath Meri Beti Ke Liye Chote Pad Rahe Hain’,
‘WohSab Janta Hai Yohan. Mai Jahan B Jaati Hun JIsse Bhi Milti Hun Sab Kuch’,
‘Tujhe Jara Bhi Andaza Nahi Hai Ek Maa Par Kya Guzarti Hai. Tera Case Bhi
EK Maa Lad Rahi Hai Wakil Nahi Samjha.’
Aishwarya’s elegance takes over. We think Aishwarya, known as the global icon, is way too sophisticated for uttering those cheesy and edgy lines. Probably, her stylish persona and grace just doesn’t befit for such pacy and intense roles.
On the other hand, Irrfan Khan, who is paired opposite Aishwarya and comes out with some striking punchlines, looks very much real and natural on his part
All said, but we are really upbeat to catch the racy thriller JAZBAA and Aishwarya & Irrfan's pairing in the film.
Also starring Siddhanth Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Priya Banerjee, Anupam Kher JAZBAA, directed by Sanjay Gupta, is all set to release on October 9, 2015.
