Housefull 5A, the latest addition to the madcap Housefull franchise, hit theatres on June 6, 2025. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the comedy boasts an ensemble cast led by Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Nana Patekar, Fardeen Khan, Jackie Shroff, and more. While reviews are mixed, the twist-packed climax of Housefull 5A is winning attention for its unpredictable turns and over-the-top humour.
A Billionaire’s Death Sparks Chaos
The story begins with billionaire Ranjeet Dobriyal (Ranjeet), worth 69 billion pounds, dying a natural death just before his 100th birthday. His stepson Dev (Fardeen Khan), not wanting to spoil the grand celebration, hides the news. But at the party, Ranjeet appears via hologram to announce his heir: a long-lost son named Jolly from his first marriage.
Three Jollys, One Inheritance
This revelation triggers mayhem as three men Jalabuddin (Riteish Deshmukh), Jalbhushan (Abhishek Bachchan), and Julius (Akshay Kumar) all claim to be Jolly. Though none are biologically related to Ranjeet, they each try to prove they are the rightful heir. A DNA test is scheduled aboard a luxury cruise, but things spiral when a spiked drink causes the Jollys to lose memory of the previous night.
Murder, Mayhem, and Misunderstandings
Meanwhile, Dev tries to sabotage the DNA test. When a doctor catches him tampering, Dev feeds him peanut butter biscuits, knowing about his allergy. Although Julius saves the doctor temporarily, Dev later kills him. The ship’s captain, Sameer (Nikitin Dheer), witnesses the crime but stays silent out of fear.
In the final twist, Dev teams up with Jolly 2 to eliminate Sameer. However, the truth unravels during the investigation, revealing Dev as the murderer. The three Jollys and their partners—played by Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, and Nargis Fakhri ultimately clear their names and solve the mystery.
