Akshay recently also spoke about his highly debated work ethic and decision to work on several films every year. Speaking to Pinkvilla in an interview, he clarified, “I like playing various roles and why not? Some people complain that I do four movies per year, but I don’t understand why shouldn’t I? If I’m working, I’m doing it.” Defending the criticism, the actor justified his decisions, likening his job to a standard 9-to-5 office job. “Someone needs to work and come to the office daily; he cannot sit at home and tell, ‘Ab main thoda ruk jaata hoon.'”
Housefull 5 and His Expanding Filmography
Recently, Akshay featured in the comedy-thriller Housefull 5, which is a film loaded with an enormous star cast like Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline Fernandez, Johnny Lever, and so on. The film followed up on the success of the hit Housefull series, famous for its slapstick comedy and fast-paced narration.

Trouble for Welcome To The Jungle
But all is not rosy. Akshay’s next major venture, Welcome To The Jungle, is said to have encountered a production snag. The film, which began shooting in December 2023, is said to be facing major financial issues, resulting in undue delays. With an ensemble cast and initial buzz, the project has not made much headway in the last 9–10 months.
