When David Dhawan talks and does not even mentions Govinda, will you believe your ears? The first thing comes in your mind when you talk about the duo is comedy and laughter riot. Their chemistry is so in-sync that it comes across from the quality of work they produce. His latest venture is film DO KNOT DISTURB, which stars Govinda, Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta and Ritesh Deshmukh. DO KNOT DISTURB is produced by Vashu Bhagnani. After 10 years, trio David Dhawan, Govinda and Vashu Bhagnani came under one roof with DO KNOT DISTURB. 10 years after, Big B-Govinda starrer BADE MIYAAN CHOTTE MIYAN was a super hit flick and David Dhawan believes that DO KNOT DISTURB will re-create the trio magic once again. In the latest conversation, David discusses about his film, genre, about his actors and forthcoming projects. Following is the discourse:

n-out comedy film. Vashu Bhagnani’s DKD bring us together after 10 long years and hope we create the same old magic.

You always stick to comedy genre. Any specific reason behind it?
I love making such films. Even audiences like to watch light-hearted and comedy on-screen. There is too much of sorrow, pain and seriousness in one’s life. So I don’t believe portraying the same on-screen.

DKD stars Govinda, Lara and Sushmita and you have worked with them earlier too.
Yes, I have. Govinda is my soul-mate, my partner in crime and partner in success. I have worked with Lara and Sushmita also in the past. And vouch on their acting capability which draws me again and again casting them. This is the first time I am working with Ritesh.

What you have to say about Ritesh?
Ritesh is very good with his comedy timing. Everyone is going to love him in the film.

If you need to choose among Sushmita and Lara, who will you prefer as an actress?
Both are good and conventional in their own way. Sushmita is up-rooted in all genres but I feel she couldn’t achieve heights which she desired for. On other hand, Lara has improvised a lot from before.
