From Failure to Fierce Comeback: The Star Kid Who’s All Set to Shine with Sunny Deol

The art of acting is a skill that develops over time, and the Hindi film industry is replete with examples of actors who have honed their craft through the years. Some continue to work tirelessly, while others take a more discerning approach, waiting for a project that truly resonates with them. This approach is being adopted by a promising young actor, who happens to be the son of a renowned Bollywood personality. With a keen eye on quality and a desire to make a meaningful impact, this budding star is biding his time for the perfect role to showcase his talent.

In Bollywood, acting is a process of evolution one that gains maturity with time and experience. For Ahan Shetty, son of former actor Suniel Shetty, it’s all just begun. Though his debut in 2021’s Tadap didn’t leave a lasting impression, the young actor is now set to make a strong comeback with ‘Border 2’, one of the most looked-forward-to war dramas of the last few years.

Born on 28th December, 1995, Ahan is Suniel and Mana Shetty’s younger child, and brother to Athiya Shetty, who has withdrawn from the public eye after marriage. Ahan’s Instagram provides a glimpse of his energetic lifestyle he’s a sports buff with an interest in football, tennis, and shooting. He also gives a glimpse of his fitness regimen, often posting about workouts and gym routines, sporting a toned physique that speaks volumes of his commitment.

Ahan debuted opposite Tara Sutaria in Tadap, a remake of the Telugu film RX 100, which was directed by Milan Luthria. While the film had action-packed romance in store, it did not perform well at the box office. Ahan has been choosy with his projects ever since, waiting for the right script  and Border 2 appears to be that.

Produced by Madhu Mantena and directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 features Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh, with Ahan in a leading role. The movie is due to release during Republic Day weekend in 2026, riding on patriotic sentiment and nostalgia of the original 1997 blockbuster.

Ahan was also committed to Sanki, a film also featuring Pooja Hegde under Sajid Nadiadwala’s production banner, although the project is said to be on hold.

Now, Ahan is also welcoming his uncle role, as sister Athiya and cricketer KL Rahul just gave birth to their baby girl  a new joy chapter in the Shetty family.
