Diljit Dosanjh, one of India’s most beloved actor-singers, continues to make waves globally. Known for his work in both Punjabi and Bollywood cinema, the Chamkila star is now rumoured to be making his debut at the prestigious Met Gala 2025. Though an official announcement is still awaited, reports suggest that Diljit will attend the event as an ambassador for Google Pixel.

“Sardaar Ji 3” Wraps UK Schedule, Releasing This June
On the professional front, Diljit recently wrapped the UK schedule of his much-awaited film Sardaar Ji 3. Taking to social media, he shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the shoot. The image, intentionally blurred, shows Diljit with his back to the camera, while the rest of the cast’s faces are covered with emojis. “Sardaar Ji UK shoot done. This June,” he wrote, using his hit track Tension as the post’s background score.
Directed by Amar Hundal, Sardaar Ji 3 features an ensemble cast including Gulshan Grover, Manav Vij, Nasir Chinyoti, Monica Sharma, and Saleem Albela. The film is slated for a June 2025 theatrical release.
“Punjab 95” – A Hard-Hitting Political Drama
Diljit is also part of the much-talked-about film Punjab 95, based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra. The film, delayed due to 120 suggested cuts by the CBFC, recounts Khalra’s fight against police brutality and extrajudicial killings in Punjab during the 1990s. His tragic abduction and murder in 1995 led to the conviction of six Punjab Police officers and cemented Khalra’s legacy as a fearless whistleblower.
