The much-awaited trailer for Housefull 5 has finally been released, bringing with it the franchise’s signature blend of comedy, chaos, and a fresh twist of mystery. The Akshay Kumar-led multi-starrer is set to hit theatres on June 6, 2025, and the nearly 4-minute trailer has already created a buzz across social media.
Certified UA16+ by the CBFC, the trailer opens with Nana Patekar introducing viewers to a grand celebration aboard a luxury yacht, where a billionaire is celebrating his 100th birthday. As he prepares to announce his will, things take a dramatic turn when he suddenly dies. The twist? The three main suspects—played by Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan—are drugged and have no memory of who they are.
To solve the murder mystery, characters played by Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Dutt are brought in, adding to the hilarity. The trailer features several laugh-out-loud moments, including Jackie cracking jokes about his son Tiger Shroff and Akshay being hilariously slapped by monkeys.
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 features a massive ensemble cast including Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Soundarya Sharma, Chunky Pandey, and Johnny Lever.
Filming began in September 2024 and wrapped up by December, with much of the shoot taking place on a real cruise ship sailing from Newcastle through Spain and Normandy, before returning to Plymouth.
The soundtrack includes tracks by Yo Yo Honey Singh, Tanishk Bagchi, White Noise Collectives, and Kratex, while Julius Packiam composed the background score.
A grand promotional event featuring all 19 lead actors is expected 10 days before the release, with producer Sajid Nadiadwala confident that the film’s humour and high-concept storytelling will once again win over audiences.
