The coming week will witness multiple releases in the form of KYA DILLI KYA LAHORE, PURANI JEANS, ANGRY YOUNG MAN, KAHIN HAI MERA PYAAR and THE DIRTY MMS (in Mumbai). Needless to add that with so many films listed for release, the business will get divided, though the Vijay Raaz and Manu Rishi starrer KYA DILLI KYA LAHORE and the EROS International venture PURANI JEANS will vie for first position. Once again the older releases like 2 STATES and REVOLVER RANI will prove competitors to the new films.
Very much as expected, it was the Kangana Ranuat starrer REVOLVER RANI which led the show from amongst last week's new releases (netting 7 crore during the opening weekend), followed by Subhash Ghai's KAANCHI and Rajshri's SAMRAT & CO. Given the fact that REVOLVER RANI was sold to Wave Cinemas for 10 crore, and with another 6-7 crore added for publicity and release, it is the only film that has some chances of succeeding, provided that it can be stable on weekdays.
