bollywood box office report of the week : 13 august 2015

gour hari dastaan brothers 20190813173458522

The coming Friday will witness the release of the  Karan Malhotra directed Akshay, Sidharth, Jacqueline and Jackie starrer BROTHERS and Siddhivinayak Cinevision’s GOUR HARI DASTAAN – THE FREEDOM FILE. Needless to add that it’ll be BROTHERS which is sure to embark on a good if nor great start at the box-office and improve further as the days progress.

The two major releases of last week, Riteish-Pulkit’s BANGISTAN and the Muzaffar Ali directed JAANISAAR (very limited release), failed to make much of an impression. Comparatively speaking it was BANGISTAN which fared much better (as compared to JAANISAAR), but even its opening can be termed as ordinary. In fact the best performance of the week came from Hollywood via Tom Cruise’s MISSION IMPOSSIBLE – ROGUE NATION, but it could not emulate the success of the previous edition(s) of the franchise.
