Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious epic ‘Ramayana’ continues to make headlines as it shapes up to be one of India’s most anticipated cinematic spectacles. The magnum opus stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as the mighty Raavan, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. Adding to this powerful ensemble, Kajal Aggarwal has officially joined the cast as Mandodari, the noble and wise queen of Raavan.
The casting of Kajal Aggarwal follows deliberations. As per sources, the directors wanted to sign an actress with pan-India popularity to counterbalance the intensity of Yash’s Raavan. Kajal, with her successful body of work in both Bollywood and South Indian cinema, was a perfect fit for the role, thereby ensuring full resonance across various regional markets.
While that is happening, Yash has officially started shooting his scenes for ‘Ramayana’ on April 30, 2025. Sources in the production team have disclosed that the KGF star will be shooting heavily in the coming month, filming important sequences from Part One as well as some scenes from Part Two. His first scenes are intense solo shots, and combination scenes featuring Sai Pallavi, Ranbir Kapoor, and Sunny Deol will follow shortly.
