Released on May 1, 2025, Raid 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2018 hit Raid, has lived up to expectations, both critically and commercially. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and produced under the banners of T-Series and Panorama Studios, the film stars Ajay Devgn in the lead role, alongside Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor.
In just 12 days, the movie has raked in a total of ₹121.25 crore, establishing itself as one of the top-grossing Bollywood films of the year. The film’s performance has been particularly strong in urban centers and multiplexes, where the audience has responded positively to its gripping narrative and powerful performances.

Boost from “Blockbuster Tuesdays”
On Day 13, Raid 2 is expected to witness a noticeable jump in its business due to the ongoing “Blockbuster Tuesdays” ticket discount campaign. According to early morning trends, the footfall in theaters has increased significantly, suggesting that the film could add another strong number to its total today.
This surge comes right after a solid Monday, when the film collected ₹4.5 crore on the occasion of Buddha Purnima—a public holiday that also gave a temporary boost to box office collections.
Minimal Competition, Maximum Impact
Raid 2 has benefitted from relatively low competition at the box office. The holdover release Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh has had limited impact on its performance. Additionally, the cancellation of Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi’s Bhool Chuk Maaf, which was originally scheduled for release on May 9, has further helped Raid 2 maintain its dominance.
Another ₹100 Crore Hit for Ajay Devgn
With this release, Ajay Devgn has once again solidified his position as a bankable Bollywood star. Raid 2 crossed the ₹100 crore mark within ten days, joining the elite list of his previous hits like Golmaal 3, Bol Bachchan, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Drishyam 2, Shaitaan, and Singham Again.
As the film enters its third weekend, trade analysts predict that Raid 2 will continue its successful run, possibly inching towards the ₹150 crore mark if the current momentum holds.
