Get ready for the ultimate face-off! Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 3 Villain hunt begins – who will be the next Big Baddie?

Mardaani 3 is the third installment of the Yash Raj Films’ blockbuster franchise, which is now officially in the making. The talented Rani Mukerji will reprise the role of the committed and fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy. Scheduled to go on floors in 2025, writer-director Abhiraj Minawala had announced the film a long time ago, back in 2024. While the groundwork is under way, the YRF team is working on look tests for the character and location.

A New and Evil Villain in the Making
As per a report from Midday, the makers of Mardaani 3 are in the process of casting for a strong and wicked villain against whom Rani Mukerji’s character will have to fight. Abhiraj Minawala, the director, will begin filming in June 2025. In pre-production, the YRF team has been doing look tests and refining the screenplay to meet the expectations of the audience.

Shooting Locations Locked
The first-time shooting locations have also been locked. Major scenes will be shot in Mumbai and Delhi, with some more places in North India on hold, which will be finalised in the next few weeks. The production team is working extra hard to turn the cop thriller into an out-and-out riveting action film.

Mardaani 3 to Release in 2026
Officially announcing by Yash Raj Films on Instagram, Mardaani 3 is set to generate buzz among fans on December 2024. Fans can be heard excitedly celebrating my post, which reads, “The wait is over! #RaniMukerji is back as the tough Shivani Shivaji Roy in #Mardaani3. In cinemas 2026.”
