Hallyu fans are in for a treat as BLACKPINK’s Jennie has officially confirmed her collaboration with Grammy-winning Florida rapper Doechii. Announced on February 14, the much-anticipated track, titled “EXTERNAL,” will be released on February 21 at 2 pm KST (12 am EST). This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Jennie’s solo career, combining her K-pop star power with Doechii’s viral hip-hop flair.
A Sneak Peek and Exciting Upcoming Album
“EXTERNAL” will be part of Jennie’s debut full solo album, Ruby, slated for release on March 7. The 15-track album promises to be star-studded, featuring collaborations with major artists like Childish Gambino, Dua Lipa, Kali Uchis, and FKJ. Fans got an early taste of Jennie’s solo work in October 2024 with the release of her first single, “Mantra.” This was followed by the drop of “Love Hangover” featuring Dominic Fike and starring Riverdale’s Charles Melton in the music video on January 31, 2025.

Jennie’s second single, “Love Hangover,” marked her third appearance on the Hot 100 chart, debuting at #96. Billboard Women in Music Awards
In a further testament to her growing influence, Jennie will be celebrated at the Billboard Women in Music Awards on March 29, 2025. The event will be held in Los Angeles, where Jennie will receive the Global Force Award alongside K-pop group aespa, who will be honored with the Group of the Year trophy.
