At the trailer launch of the film, when asked Jackky about replacing Irrfan, he said, “Irrfan is a supreme actor. I can never replace him. I’m a big fan of his.”

There were also reports about Arshad saying that he wished Irrfan Khan would have been a part of the film. But Arshad flatly denied saying anything like this in the media.
Directed by Ashish Mohan, WELCOME TO KARACHI also stars Lauren Gottlieb. It is scheduled to release on 21st May, 2015.
